- An independent Making Tax Digital calculator for UK sole traders and landlords: whether Making Tax Digital for Income Tax applies to you, from which April, and what it means. Not HMRC, and not a government website. Every figure is from GOV.UK, HMRC or legislation.gov.uk, with the day it was checked.

No corrections yet. When we correct a figure, the correction is listed here with its date, what the page said and what it says now.

## How to report an error

Email [contact@makingtaxdigitalcalculator.co.uk](mailto:contact@makingtaxdigitalcalculator.co.uk). Say which page, which figure or sentence looks wrong, and, if you have it, the GOV.UK page or the law that says otherwise. Please don’t send your National Insurance number, Unique Taxpayer Reference or tax documents. We don’t need them to check a figure.

## How a wrong figure is fixed

We check what you’ve sent against the official page. If our figure is wrong, it’s fixed where it starts, in the research record and the rules file. With the next update of the site, every page that prints the figure changes with it, and so do the calculators. Each page that changed moves its Updated date, under its title, to the day of the change.

A correction to a figure is listed at the top of this page. A spelling mistake or a clearer sentence isn’t listed, though it still moves the page’s Updated date.

## When HMRC changes a rule

When HMRC or the law changes a rule, the pages change too. That’s an update, not a correction, so it isn’t listed here. The pages that print the rule move their Updated date, and their sources show the day the new rule was checked.
