The calculators and guides give an estimate from the published rules and what you type. They aren’t tax, legal or financial advice. HMRC decides whether Making Tax Digital applies to you, from when, and what you owe. We don’t promise that a result is right for your circumstances, so check with HMRC or a tax adviser before you rely on it. You sign up for Making Tax Digital on GOV.UK, never on this site.

## If something is wrong

Rules change, and a page can be wrong. If you find a mistake, please tell us. The [corrections page](/corrections/) says how it’s fixed.

## Who owns what

The site’s text and pictures belong to Piyush Choudhary. The software that runs the calculators is free software, under the GNU General Public Licence, version 2 or later.
