Making Tax Digital Calculator

Independent calculator. Not HMRC, and not a government website.

Terms of Use: Free to Use, an Estimate and Not Tax Advice, and Who Owns the Text and Calculators

Published

The site is free to use. Its answers are estimates from the published rules, not tax advice, and HMRC decides. You’re welcome to quote a short passage with a link back.

These terms cover your use of makingtaxdigitalcalculator.co.uk, which Piyush Choudhary publishes. You don’t need an account to use it.

An estimate, not advice

The calculators and guides give an estimate from the published rules and what you type. They aren’t tax, legal or financial advice. HMRC decides whether Making Tax Digital applies to you, from when, and what you owe. We don’t promise that a result is right for your circumstances, so check with HMRC or a tax adviser before you rely on it. You sign up for Making Tax Digital on GOV.UK, never on this site.

If something is wrong

Rules change, and a page can be wrong. If you find a mistake, please tell us. The corrections page says how it’s fixed.

Who owns what

You’re welcome to quote a short passage, with a link back to the page it comes from. For anything more, ask first at contact@makingtaxdigitalcalculator.co.uk.
